CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
The idea is to have activities that are community building = group activities
The focus at first was to have exhibition spaces that would be a way of exhibiting local products and/or art, music, pottery, music concerts.
Following a discussion with individuals involved in development, I felt that a sporting activity would be a represent the centre more appropriately.
Additionally it helped in narrowing down the activity- which was quite broad.
Basketball and football are commons sports in Thessaloniki. As there is the exhibiting football pitch,I will integrate an outdoor basketball court in project. This can be used alternatively as a volleyball court / badminton (these sports in particular as they can be played by men and woman- separately or together.
At night I propose an outdoor cinema

note: these are quick notes for the spaces and activities. I have not yet had the chance to exhibit the levels of preffered comfort for these activities and the specific times that they will be used at.
The majority of activities, both indoor and outdoor will be during times of day between 9am-5pm. The dwelling/housing is relevant during the night.
There is the chance of incorporating nighttime classes- so I will need to study the comfort levels required during that period of time of the day (humid summer nights/dry winter nights).
Additionally there may be nightime exhibitions so I will be looking into this also.
