CURRENT CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS
The typical constructions now are concrete structure with cavity walls and insulation. The current U values(since 2010) in the climatic zone of Thessaloniki are:
- for roofs and floors above pilotis 0.40
- for external walls 0.45
- for floors in contact with earth or other (non heated) spaces 0.75
- walls in contact with earth or other non heated spaces 0.80
- windows 2.80
- glass facades with non operable windows (or only partly) 1.80
In the city typically flat roofs. In the suburbs pitched roofs.
